Lorenzo Resta from the Italian International championship has confirmed three time world MX2 champion Jeffrey Herlings will race in Italy this weekend.
“Jeffrey Herlings will be on track Sunday for the third round of the Internazionali d’Italia MX Selle Dalla Valle Series 2017! The three-time world champion of MX2, rookie in the MX1 rookie class, will make in Ottobiano his seasonal race debut with his KTM SX-F 450. For the first time ever Tony Cairoli (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing), Tim Gajser (Honda HRC MXGP) and Romain Febvre (Monster Energy Yamaha Factory) will race all together with the Dutch and an awesome show is guaranteed. Ottobiano is for Herlings the first and the last chance to try the bike in a race before the World Championship debut at Losail, in Qatar later this month and to check its condition after the ten days stop caused by an inflammation of a wrist tendon. The last round of the Internazionali d’Italia SDV Series 2017 confirms the absolute prestige of the entry list.”
