      SX/MX/AX Teams 2006

      Estimate of whats happening in 2006, as of MXdN weekend 2005. Note on this page when is says rumor-it means rumor. These are real pit rumors, and may not turn out.

      Team Honda: Ernesto Fonseca, Travis Preston, Andrew Short, Davi Millsaps. MC will again be « Part-Time » Showtime. Short and Millsaps on 250Fs, SX coasts undecided.

      Team Kawasaki: Michael Byrne, James Stewart. No changes. Undecided on using 450s in SX.

      Monster/Pro Circuit Kawasaki: 2006 Team: Grant Langston, Ben Townley, Ryan Villopoto, Troy Adams.

      Monster/Pro Circuit Kawasaki 250 Team: Rumored 250 team not likely for 2006.

      Team Makita Suzuki: Ricky Carmichael, Ivan Tedesco.

      Sebastien Tortelli, goes to KTM Europe for one season.

      Team Makita Suzuki (125s): Broc Hepler, 2 more years. So far no second 125 guy.

      Rockstar Energy Suzuki: Tyler Evans (250s SX only), Mike Brown, Sean Hamblin, Jason Lawence, and Ryan Mills, New 2nd Suzuki support team. Bills Pipes might be part of team name.

      Team Yamaha: Chad Reed, Heath Voss, one opening. Reed’s separate semi will probably have to wait until 2007.

      Out-Not sure-Ferry.

      Yamaha of Troy: 2006 Team: Brett Metcalf, Andrew McFarlane, and possibly Branden Jesseman. (Waiting to confirm Matt Walker)

      Team Red Bull KTM: 2006: Jay Marmont, Josh Hansen, Nathan Ramsey, and Mike Alessi. All 250Fs. Jeff Alessi will stay too.

      Amsoil/Chaparral Honda/Factory Connection:

      250s: Mike LaRocco, Kevin Windham. No changes. New title sponsors announced soon.

      125s: Josh Grant, Billy Laninovich, Tommy Hahn, Joaquim Rodrigues, Jake Weimer.

      Other Teams:

      Team Cernic’s Racing: Not sure.

      Butler Brothers Mx/Champion’s Honda: Forrest Butler, Karsten Butler, Brandon Butler, Doug DeHaan, and Cole Siebler, 250 SX/MX, all Honda 450’s.

      Team BooKoo Honda: 250 SX and 250 Nationals (limited) – David Vuillemin, 125 West SX and 125 Nationals – Justin Keeney, 125 East SX and 125 Nationals – Steve Boniface.

      Motoworld Racing: 2006 Team: Stephane Roncada. Kyle Partridge and Justin Brayton have another year. Pulling out of Arenacross. Likely brand change.

      Subway/Coca-Cola Honda: 2006: Jason Thomas, Jeff Gibson. One more, not Ferry (yet)-just a rumor. Possibly Keith Johnson.

      Home Depot: New team organized by Subway’s owner Chuck Schultz. Wants 4 125 class guys. Possibilities: Ryan Clark, Justin Buckelew, Josh Summey.

      MDK Motorsports: , Nick Wey, maybe Tim Ferry.

      Not sure-out: Eric McCrumin.

      Motosport Outlet: Now partly owned by MDK, but may run separate. Paul Carpenter, Danny Smith, Bobby Kiniry, and Kelly Smith.

      Not sure-out-Akira Narita, Steve Lamson, Tucker Hibbert, Juss Laansoo’s, Randy Valade, Ryan Abrigo.

      Star Racing/Bobby J’s Yamaha: Moves up to Yamaha support team. Matt Goerke, Sean Collier, Bryan Johnson and one more.

      Not sure-out-Keith Johnson, Jacob Saylor, Justin Keeney, and James Marshall, Eric Vallejo, Isaiah Johnson.

      K’s Motorsport’s/Suzuki/Maestro Card: Plans are to have 2 or 3 riders on RMZ450s with Suzuki support. Jeff Dement most likely to return.

      Team Rolcom Racing, Inc: 2006 Team: Daton Beavers – 250, Justin Myers – 125 West, third guy unsigned…

      Ryno to do WORCS off-road for Suzuki.

      Arenacross (AMA National AX Series) 2005/6

      Possibly a « Parts » team like Tuf, some big names under consideration.

      Greg Schnell and Timmy Weigand on Suzukis.

      Honda support team possible.

      BooKoo Arenacross Championship 2005/6

      This is he new series by Advanstars, run by Mike Kidd.

      Babbits Kawasaki: Josh Demuth, Brad Ripple, and Chad Johnson. Kawi supported team, through a dealer.

      GPS Racing AX: Storm Lake Honda support, Jeff Willoh, Brad Modjewski, Kurt McCabe, possibly one more unnamed

      rider.

      Shane Bess and Brad Hagseth on Suzukis. (Antunez’s team.)

      Tommy Hofmaster, no team details yet

      ECC Honda: Rumors ECC may not return for 2006.

      Moto XXX: Kyle Lewis, Justin Buckelew, Nick Evennou 125 E, and Jamie Grosser (The people’s champ), 125 W.

      Team Solitaire: Ryan Clark.

      Team SoCal Racing: Clark Stiles (250SX/MX), Brian Mason (250SX/MX), Jiri Dostal (250SX/MX), this is the name after St Louis.

      BlairMX.com: Daniel Blair 125 E

      his brother Vince. 125 W

      Tamer: Left AX to build a west SX team. Sponsors are SoCal Racing/Cycleworkx.com/Big Gun Exhausts/Millennium Cycles.

      AX teams are up in the air with the addition of a second series by Advanstar. Teams are waiting to see what the others do. Some good rumors…Sellards races Advanstar AX and Schnell races CCE’s AX.

      Richmond Racing: Darcy Lange, Jeff Northrup, Evan Laughridge, and Colton Facciotti.

      (rumored to be pulling out of AX for one season to avoid the CCE/Advanstar rivalry.)

      PPG/Motoworld Racing: Justin Brayton and Tommy Hofmaster. Replacements after round 1 are Eric Sorby, Jesseman, John Dowd. Not returning.

      Motion/Shogun Yamaha: Josh Demuth, Riley Kurosky, and Chad Johnson. Team folded after 2004/5 AX season.

      Tuf Racing: Ryan Huffman, Brandon Bartz, Kody Molitor.

      Team Fun Bike Center: (Antunez’s team) Shane Bess and Brad Hagseth.

      GPS Racing AX: Nate Tiearney, Matt Maier, Brad Modjewski DeCal Works graphics /SoCal Gear

      Team Faith, Fly Racing: Kevin Johnson.
