Slawdictions for Anaheim 2: Someone Crowned at Triple Crown
by Slaw Dog January 26, 2024, 6:00 am
Following a 99.8% accuracy rate in 2023, Slaw is back to bring you some flaming hot bold predictions for the ENTIRE 17 round Monster Energy Supercross Championship. Stay tuned all season long.
As the greatest wrastler alive, Ric Flair, once said: “I’m the stylin’, profilin’, limousine riding, jet flying, kiss-stealing, wheelin’ and dealin’ son of a gun.”
As always, I will review my picks from San Diego before getting into A2.
Prediction | Jorge Prado Top Five
Mud or not, I got the Spaniard for a top five this weekend. Slaw has some intel on Prado and I have high hopes for this weekend. Dude has been putting in work.
It rained. Jorge is not a mud rider. I forgot that.
Slawdiction: 0 out of 10
Prediction | If It Rains, Ken Wins
My god, did you even notice that performance from Ken Dog last weekend? Dude was DEAD last after the first turn. Like, no one in front of him. He came back to third. If we get more rain this weekend, Ken wins.
WE almost had this. Does it count if Ken led laps? No…
Slawdiction: 0 out of 10
Prediction | Honda Rebounds
Ooof. Been a great run for Honda the last few years. Pretty sure they won everything. San Fran, not so much. They bounce back.
Jett and Jo got fourths. Much better than San Fran. Counting it.
Slawdiction: 9 out of 10
Prediction | Den Dog Slaps Troy Dog with the Ryan Face
This comes early. Probably during practice.
Pretty sure this happened.
Slawdiction: 10 out of 10
Prediction | Malcolm Finds Mojo
Rough start to the season for Mook Dog. Slaw ain’t giving up hope, though. Top 10 this weekend.
Another crash early for Mook Dog. We need to get this man some ice cream or something. Anything to make him happy. Been a long three rounds.
Slawdiction: 0 out of 10
On to Anaheim 2, the crown jewel of the series…
6 Different Main Event Winners
This weekend is the first Triple Crown of the season. That means six different main events (did we ever decided that is what we are calling them?). Slaw has dug deep into his crystal ball is predicting six different winners across that six races.
Prado Holeshot
Last SX (for this year anyway) for the MXGP champ. He wants a holeshot to end his time here. One of the greatest starters in history will get at least ONE holeshot this weekend.
No One Fined
After all the drama last weekend, we return to normal. Sad times for social media engagement.
Super Cooper
Do not fire up Cooper Webb. Whelp, too late. Cooper was not happy with the late race stuff going on. Not a good thing for the field. He wins the overall this weekend.
RJ Wins
I really think RJ keeps it together for all three races this weekend. Am I crazy or Nostradamus? We shall find out.
