Does it make you look forward more to your return to supercross in January?
Yeah, but you know what the coolest part is? I’ve built up a friendship with these other guys now. I’m not coming in and threatening to take anything they have or someone’s job or anything; I want to come out and hang out and ride with them and have some fun and enjoy what I’m doing. I know that this is their jobs, and I don’t want to get in the way of that. I just want to come ride and have some fun. It’s a good feeling now, knowing that I can hang out with the top guys and not have any real problems with them.
So there’s no posturing, like you are who are you are and you’re just here to ride motorcycles.
Exactly. I’m here because of the passion of it. This is what I love. I missed the crowd and the excitement of coming to the races, and I’ve got to say, the crowd was awesome today. They loved me out there, and that was such a cool feeling. Just riding around for the parade lap was a great feeling.
