As Bobryshev is enjoying period of emergence (2011 has delivered his first career podiums, now totalling four) it is hard not to think that Christophe Pourcel’s career, at the age of 22 is going in the other direction. The Frenchman was understandably elusive through a weekend of attention and glare on his MX1 debut but he failed to register in both motos. The first for apparently neglecting to wear chest protection and then complaining of stony roost and the second for an apparent level of dissatisfaction with the set-up on the CLS Kawasaki. Sources from the French team then confirmed that Pourcel was not yet confirmed for next weekend’s Latvian Grand Prix and is on a race-by-race deal. The Green saddle could be a ticket back into the Pro Circuit outfit and Pourcel admitted on Saturday that he intends to ride supercross in 2012 and wants to get back to his base in the USA. He might need to show more than this however.
