In Saturday’s first moto Jeremy got the holeshot and was leading by about 8 seconds…Preston passed Huffman and Jeremy had been keeping his eye on Huffman…he didn’t realize Preston had closed on him. Then Jeremy saw Preston and took off again…building up a gap and winning the first moto.
In the second moto, Jeremy was winning with about 3 minutes before the end of the race when he ran up Monty’s leg, almost fell…..and Preston slipped by. With 30 second lap times, Jeremy didn’t have time to pass Preston back before the finish. He came across the checkerd flag right behind Preston.
In the main event, Jeremy got the holeshot and lead the whole moto. At the finish he was 7 seconds ahead of second place. Huffman got second by only a wheel over Preston who finsihed third.
In a brief phone-in report, Jeremy said: « I feel really good, my bike is awesome. I’m excited about tomorrow’s race. The whole Team is in a great mood…we’re all pretty happy! »
Tomorrow (Sunday): Same race schedule, run earlier in the day.
