We received this from Paulo Martin about the Pichon rumours.

“The rumor started spreading on the internet thru a Belgian website,” Martin said. “I believe it’s just a rumor. Mickael did not race the second leg because of a slight injury to his wrist (caused by the crash in moto 1), not because of a knee injury. It’s true that he’s complaining about his knee since the beginning of the season but that was not the reason not to start in moto 2. Maybe Mickael told somebody he was going to quit racing while he was upset after the crash, but he’s a hot-headed guy and that was just a reaction to his bad luck at the Italian GP, I know he’s not serious about retiring. That’s the way Pichon is, he’s unpredictable and sometimes it’s pretty hard to deal with him, just like with any other real winners”.
